How To Resize Waves Plugins | Waves V12 New Feature
Oct 19, 2020 | 28,081 Views
In Waves V12, we are pleased to announce plugin resizing, which has been a highly requested feature from our users for many years. Plugin resizing provides many advantages, helping you adjust your plugin graphic interface size to your exact needs.
Plugin resizing is particularly beneficial if you are working with 4K screens in your studio. While many engineers enjoy working in 4K, there's no getting away from the fact that some plugins appear very small compared to how they look in HD resolution.
In V12, users can now resize their Waves plugins up to a massive 200% for a more user-friendly experience when working with our plugins in 4K.
Laptop users can also take advantage of V12’s new plugin resize feature as they may wish to shrink some of their favorite plugins down from 100% to 75% for more convenient arrangement within their display.
Whichever you choose, Waves V12 gives you the choice of plugin size to best fit your needs.
How Do I Resize My Waves Plugin?
Waves V12 plugins provide 5 plugin sizes to choose from. From the new top dropdown menu, you can choose from 75%, 100%, 125%, 150% and 200% scales.
V12 plugins are smart. Your resize choices save automatically. You can close, hide or remove V12 plugins with user-specified scales, re-opening your plugins precisely how you left them. You can also specify different plugins to open automatically in different rescaled sizes, according to your preference.
If you use a Mac with a retina display, V12 plugins take full advantage of Apple’s Metal API, which significantly improves the resolution of plugins displayed on retina displays. By supporting Metal, Waves V12 plugins also run more efficiently, by gaining near-instant access to the GPU unit, thus reducing the load from the CPU.
