How to Solve “Version: Not Available” in SoundGrid Driver Control Panel in Windows
Jan 24, 2024
Follow the steps in this article to solve the “Version: Not Available” error in the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel in Windows:
If you are trying to use the Waves SoundGrid DAW Driver on a Windows computer, no network ports are available for selection and the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel shows Version: Not Available, this could indicate that a critical service called Waves SoundGrid DAW Node Service (SGDawNodeService) has been set to not automatically run at system startup.
When the Waves SoundGrid DAW Node Service is not running, the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel will look like this:
To verify the service is running:
Open the Windows Task Manager (Hit the [Win] key and search for ‘Task Manager’).
Go to the Startup tab and look for ‘Waves SoundGrid DAW Node Service’ or ‘SGDawNodeService.’
In the Status column, check if the service is set to ‘Disabled.’
If the service is set to ‘Disabled,’ right-click it and choose ‘Enable.’
Restart your computer.
Launch the SoundGrid Driver Control Panel – the version number will now appear correctly at the bottom:
