This page presents general support notes and known issues, some with workarounds, with Waves computers such as Axis Scope, Axis Proton and Proton Duo. We will update this page on an ongoing basis as issues are solved.
Waves computers run an embedded version of Windows 10 called ‘LTSC’, which receives security updates only.
If ‘Team Viewer’ is needed for a session with Waves Technical Support, the WavesQS Team Viewer application is pre-installed in Desktop > Utilities.
We recommend shutting your Waves computer down via Windows’ ‘shut down’ command and not via the rack power switch.
Recommended Network Settings for a SoundGrid Network:
Services:
Waves SoundGrid: enabled.
Ipv6: enabled.
All other options: disabled.
Advanced:
Interrupt moderation: Off.
Flow Control: Off.
Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE): Off.

Software and Updates
Windows 10 pre-installed
Latest versions of Waves Central, eMotion LV1, SuperRack and all Waves plugins pre-installed.
Plugin and SoundGrid Host Application licenses must be purchased separately and activated for use.
All Waves software updates, software installation and licensing are managed by Waves Central (this applies only to Waves software updates, not to other software updates on the computer).
Windows security updates are deployed monthly by Microsoft and are required for keeping a secure system. Update installation can be delayed by the user up to 30 days from its deployment.
Other Windows updates are disabled by default.
Warranty and Modifications Opening the casing or modifying the unit in any way will void the warranty
Rack-shelf (sold separately), allows mounting two Axis Scopes, side by side, or an Axis Scope and a type-C SoundGrid server, side by side.

SoundGrid networks only support the default states of native Windows Antivirus and Firewall applications.
SoundGrid Networks do not support any 3rd party Antivirus, Firewall or Network Management software.
